Luis Herrera 1955 - 2006
Goodbye Luis, we will miss you!
Our dear friend, you left us too soon.
Aloha Herrera Ohana, Eia ke kanaenae a ka mea hele, he leo, he leo wale no. (A voice in greeting to old friends).
I wanted to offer my deepest sympanthy to the Herrera Ohana. I just heard the sad news of Louie's passing.
I will always remember Louie as a happy man always with a big smile on his face and a deep love for his Ohana..
Niau kololani ka helena, huna na maka i ke aouli ( silently, he departed , his eyes now shine in the sky.)
With love and Aloha,

Louie, Beloved Nephew
Nothing is harder than saying good-bye to someone you love. Your Uncle Sal and I knew you as a baby, a boy, and a man and you are so special to us. The countless of memories we have of you will forever live in our hearts. We will never forget the annual trips to Mexico, the beach scene, the holiday dinners, but most of all your good nature, your perpetual smile, your kindness and the devotion as a model father, whose children will inherit all that you have taught them.
Good-bye for awhile "Sweet Pinqui"
Aunt Lupe and Uncle Sal Carrillo
I remember once when I first joined the club and forgot Luis' first name and I called him Mr Herrera. He was very quick to tell me he is not Mr Herrera - just Luis! He was one of the kindest persons I've met. So dedicated to his kids and family and always willing to help out with club events. Why do the good ones always go early?! Goodbye Luis, we will miss you!

I am greatly saddened by the passing of our brother Louie. He was a valuable member of, and a great contributor to our club, as well as the surfing community at laege. He was always very friendly to me and for that I am grateful. I will miss him... My sincerest sympathies go out to his family and loved ones.
