<body topmargin=0 leftmargin=0 marginheight=0 marginwidth=0> <table cellpadding=0 cellspacing=0 border=0><tr> <td valign="top" height=120 BGCOLOR="#FFCCFF" TEXT="#080000" bgproperties="fixed" background="0513f781egdyul.gif"> <div> <FONT SIZE="5" COLOR="#009900" FACE="Arial" ><B>Ventura Surf Club </B></FONT> <B> </B><B>|    </B><A HREF="id28.htm" TARGET="_top" TITLE="Vacation Scrapbooks"><U><B>return to scrapbook page</B></U></A></div> <bR> <div> </div> </td> </tr><tr> <td valign="top" height=360 BGCOLOR="#000000" TEXT="#F7F7FF" bgproperties="fixed" background="52930cc3.jpg"> <div> <B>Art, Marilyn, Andy and Leslie  </B></div> <div> <B>Mexico</B></div> <div> <B>April 2004</B></div> <div> <B>A little trip to the tropics; or burros and chickens and pigs, oh my!  Just a week in paradise is always too short.</B></div> <div> <B>Our trip to Ixtapa-Zihuat was too too short.  Just xx minutes to the xxxxx of our hotel was the point break called xxxxxx.  The place they called "Perfect left point #27" in the movie Siestas & Olas.  Leslie, Andy, Marilyn and I caught this break every morning.</B></div> <div> <B>First day, perfect at head high+.  The second day there was a small drop off, third and fourth days it was down to waist to chest high.  On the fifth day, the swell was building again.  The sixth and seventh days brought some double overhead  sets.  We surfed two days with Corky Carroll, almost everyday with out hostess at Jacqueline's restaurant, Lourdes Valencia, daughter of the mayor of the town of xxxxxxx.  We met and talked to people from all over -- Ireland, British Columbia, Alaska, Idaho, Bodega Bay, even Bakersfield.  There were also people from Carpinteria and Santa Barbara.  What a great vibe.  There are so many places to surf, it's going to take me years to explore them all.  If you would like more information on the places we went, well...
