In applying to enter the California Street Longboard Classic, I promise to inspect the contest site and assure myself that the area is safe and further agree that I will not surf in the contest unless I am satisfied that the area and conditions are safe for surfing purposes. I attest that I am physically fit and have sufficiently trained for the event. In consideration of your acceptance of my entry, I, intending to be legally bound hereby, for myself, my heirs, my executors and administrators, hold harmless and release the City of San Buenaventura, Ventura Surf Club, all sponsors and related persons to this event from liability for injury and/or damages whatsoever, arising from my participation or presence at this competition.
